Relentless Boardmasters in association with Vans is literally around the corner, the office is buzzing and people are getting very excited as the anticipation is brewing! This year is set to be a ground breaking year is many ways:
• More Competitions – All the crowd favourites plus a few new faces, such as the Skinner’s Longboard Invitational
• More music – We now have over 120 music acts confirmed for RBM 2010
• More stages – 6 official stages including the new Residential Dance Tent and View Stage. See if you can find the unofficial stage!
The build is already under way and the transformation of Watergate Bay is starting to shape up. The addition of camping to this year’s event is sure to bring a completely new dynamic to the festival and those lucky enough to have bought a weekend camping ticket will get to experience the action 24/7 with all the other festival campers!
Fistral Beach is set to witness some of the best displays of extreme riding ever to hit the UK shores. In the water we have South African ripper Travis Logie who currently sits at No. 30 on the ASP World Tour. Renowned as one of the fastest surfers on tour Logie is definitely one to watch. Back on land we have the Vans Summer Sessions which will be bringing together the best talents from the worlds of skate and BMX. Jussi Korhonen is set to tear up the 40ft ramp with a mix of airs and spins, also UK rider Sam Beckett will be hoping to do one better on his 2nd place finish last year.
The BMX mini-ramp competition is always a crowd favourite and never fails to impress; this year is sure to be no different with a host of big name riders such as Jason Phelan and Tobias Wicke. Ben Hennon will also be looking to capitalise on his resent form after his 3rd place finish at Relentless NASS.
As if the riders needed anymore motivation, we are proud to announce another record breaking prize purse, which will ensure the riders either go BIG or go home empty handed.
