For those who are unfamiliar with the setup of the Relentless Boardmasters, getting to where you want to go might be a bit of a struggle. There are two sites to the event: Fistral Beach (TR7 1HY) and Watergate Bay (TR8 4AN).

Drive to Newquay - Relentless Boardmasters has teamed up with PickupPal to try and reduce the quantity of cars going to the event. If you are driving or looking for a lift click the banner below to reduce your carbon footprint and grab a ride or offer a lift to other festival goers.

Directions - Follow the M5 to Exeter then take the A30 to within seven miles of Newquay. Once near town follow the signs for Fistral Beach.

For those of you who can't make it by bus or are coming from further afield... there is always another solution.  GoCar Share offer a great car sharing service that allows you to find fun people to share the journey with.  This also saves you money and minimises your effect on the environment.

The process is simple... simply log in via facebook; if you are planning on driving, just post a car share request to Newquay.  Include any specifics in the message box such as the contribution you need for petrol, then sit back and wait for someone to contact you about sharing a lift..!

Fistral Beach is the main hive and focal point of the Relentless Boardmasters, which sees all the action including the surf, skate and BMX comps. From the town centre it is only a short walk down to the beach and is often buzzing with people.

Parking - A car park is located on Tregunell Hill. Please endeavour to park away from the event site, and walk down, as the festivities take up the whole of the Fistral Beach Area.

Headland Road - The road leading down to the beach is closed during the event, this is due to traffic congestion in the past. Avoid trying to access this road.

Watergate bay is a little further out from Newquay Town. So to enjoy a nice frosty beer or three, it is advisable you do not drive up to the site. Camping customers will have a seperate car park which will be accessible during the opening hours of the camp site.

Parking - All cars that roll up to the site with out a full car must pay a green tax fee of £5 per day or £8 for the weekend, so get involved in helping the environment by getting your car fully loaded!

Shuttle Bus - A shuttle bus will be running between Newquay Town centre (BUS STATION*) and the Watergate Bay festival site. This service will be running every 20 minutes between 10am – 1am, Friday to Saturday. There will be a small charge for this service:

Single - £2
Return - £3

*When the bus station closes in the evening the pickups will be from outside the Great Western hotel near Burger King by the Train Station.

These might come in handy when the shuttle service is not running.

RBM official transport provider A2B Taxis - 01637 852 040  definately worth saving in your phone.

If they are busy here are some alternatives:

West Side Taxis - 01637 879 393
123 Taxis - 01637 851 230
